A Year Old And I Hadn’t Even Noticed! (Let’s Party!)
Can you believe it, cause I really can’t! Mark-McWilliams.com is just over 1 year old! Our official birthday should have been 8th August 2007 when I first registered the domain name. However the first post I made, was actually done on the 4th October 2007.
So over that time period, I’ve written 63 blog posts and have about the same number on ‘draft’ just waiting to be finished writing, and published.
I have received 1,344 spam comments, which have all been stopped by the amazing Akismet plugin! (Which comes by default, just ready for you to activate!)
Between the total number of posts, my blog too has 175 comments! 
In actual fact, I’m really looking forward to this year and have a handful of things planned. So make sure you keep updated, and if you haven’t already then I’d suggest you get onto the blog notification list that you see to the right of this post!…
The last thing I’d like to do is thank YOU. Yes without you coming and reading my posts, then I don’t know were I’d be. My only hope is that you enjoy what I talk about, and hopefully learn a thing or two.

@ John – Thanks for the compliments, I knew that the birthday was coming up, I just didn’t think it was so soon. I had the date around the 23rd October in my head, don’t know were that came from!

Congrats Mark. Does not seem possible that it has been a year (and yes, I have been around all that time).
Your knowledge of and passion for WordPress is still as impressive as when I first met you. I have learned mountains from you but still am constantly afraid I am going to “break it”.
@ Carol – There is a good chance that with this update, I’ll have a few more things to learn about WordPress, not to mention the fact about Threaded Comments!
I’m just glad you enjoy what I write about, and I really hope it helps everyone in some way or another. (Who could want anything better?!)

48 posts, 11000 spam comments, 1,186 comments in the first 10 months.
Shoot I spoke too soon… you have me beat on post count… I need to write 15 more blog posts by 2009.
@ Robert – Looks like I’ve got some work cut-out, although I am getting closer to your spam comments! I’m upto 1,801 of the little things. (There seems to be quite a bit going round lately!) OH and including this comment, that’ll put me up at 196.
I have purchased your Action Comments but I’ve yet to implement it on the blog just yet! My to-do list keeps getting longer and longer!
