<description>Colin, fire away and pick as much of my brain as you like! Talking about plugins though, I think I&#039;m going to post about that soon! - I have a post about plugins that was published a while back, but because of WordPress Upgrades, I think I&#039;ll need to amend the list a little. (It&#039;s on the list of things to-do now!)

It&#039;s nice of you to stop by John, and to cut a long comment short, you&#039;ve been missing out on quite a bit! WordPress.com works with the same software, but it&#039;s not the same not having a self-hosted blog. The amount of freedom you have, it&#039;s just fantastic!

Hi Carol, thanks for commenting! I stopped using a Blogger blog really, once I started with WordPress! - A WordPress blog really does make you more professional, and whats best about it is that it&#039;s ALWAYS being upgraded! Version 2.6 was released and they are almost starting with 2.7 that looks to be an amazing version! - Lets wait and see as they always say! :P

Thanks

		<description>Excellent advice Mark.

I am currently advising true beginners to try a Blogger blog to get their feet wet. They just get used to making posts and the general feel of things. After all, they are not promoting it at all. They are practicing and I read it and maybe a few friends or peers on Step By Step to encourage each other.

But my advice is the same as yours, if you are ready to begin your business blog in whatever niche -- Use a self-hosted WordPress blog. It takes you a step up in the professional ranks.

<description>Hi Mark, you have highlighted some really useful resources there.I have just created my first Blog using Wordpress, after months of avoiding it like the plague as everything seemed to be so complicated (I think it&#039;s a psychological problem I have!). I&#039;ve hit one or two problems that I have easily sorted out and I&#039;m quite pleased with the result.
No doubt I shall be picking your brains shortly about the best plugins and widgets to install!
Thanks Mark.
